If youโve had your eye on the Retroid Pocket Classic but couldnโt quite justify dropping around $150 on yet another device, now might be the time to finally pull the trigger.
Retroid has decided to drop the price of its very Game Boy-inspired handheld from $149 to just $99. The catch is you need to be quick on the trigger because once the remaining stock is gone, it appears to be gone for good.
The Retroid Pocket Classic is down to $99
Retroid announced the price cut as part of a clearance across several of its handhelds, telling the masses to grab them โbefore theyโre gone foreverโ.
And at $99, Iโd imagine the Pocket Classic could disappear particularly quickly. I donโt need one, but Iโm very tempted regardless, even though the Pocket Duo is on the horizonโฆ

While supplies last, we've slashed prices on selected models:
RP Classic:โ Now $99โ (was $149)
RP 5 (12GB):โ Now $179โ (was $209)
Flip 2 (12GB):โ Now $189โ (was $219)
Flip 2 D1100 (8GB):โ Now $149โ (was $179)
Get one now before theyโre gone forever!
There are no changes in the specs, so youโre still getting the same 3.92-inch 1240 x 1080 AMOLED display, Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 chipset, and active cooling setup, alongside Android 14 and a pretty hefty 5,000mAh battery.
There are 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB configurations depending on availability, while that near-square OLED panel makes the Classic particularly perfect for Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and other older systems that can make good use of its unusual aspect ratio.
At $149, there was definitely a little more competition to consider, but bringing this thing below the $100 mark changes things a bit.
Itโs also not the only Retroid handheld getting a final price cut either, so if youโre in the market for more devices, youโre in luck.
The 12GB Retroid Pocket 5 has fallen from $209 to $179, while the 12GB Flip 2 is now $189 instead of $219. The cheaper Flip 2 D1100 8GB model has also dropped from $179 to $149.
All of these are pretty decent, but the Pocket Classic being an AMOLED Android handheld for less than $100? Yeah, that one could be difficult to ignore for a lot of you out there.
