Itโ€™s crazy to think that itโ€™s been a whopping 40 years since we first stepped foot in Hyrule, and Nintendo is celebrating in a huge way with a dedicated The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct.

While we all eagerly await a real look at what the Ocarina of Time remake has in store for us, youโ€™ll want to get the official stream up and ready to go once it goes live to soak in all the announcements.

Hereโ€™s where you need to go to watch The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, as well as what time it starts around the world.

How to watch The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct

The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct kicks off on September 8 at 7 AM PDT, with Nintendo confirming that the presentation will run for roughly 30 minutes.

If youโ€™re over in Australia, that works out to 12 AM AEST on September 9, so you might need a coffee or two if youโ€™re planning on watching live.

Hereโ€™s a breakdown of the times across the globe:

As for where you can tune in, simply head over to the official Nintendo YouTube channel, where the company already has the dedicated The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct livestream page ready to go.

Nintendo has been pretty tight-lipped on exactly what will be shown, only stating that weโ€™ll be getting a variety of information surrounding Zeldaโ€™s 40th anniversary.

We do know that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2 will be featured, though, so expect some actual gameplay of what is probably one of the most anticipated remakes Nintendo has ever done.

Interestingly, the Australian Nintendo Store may have already spoiled one detail.

A now-removed listing reportedly had the digital version priced at $94.95 AUD, which puts it in the same pricing bracket as Nintendo games that retail for $59.99 USD digitally in North America.

Weโ€™re not confirming the US price with this, but it gives us a pretty good idea of where Nintendo could land.

Elsewhere, rumors have also suggested that Monolith Soft could be behind the remake, while a Zelda-themed Switch 2 and Pro Controller have also seemingly leaked way ahead of the presentation.

For me in particular, Iโ€™m really hoping for Switch 2 versions of The Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD too, seeing as though the latter is one of the best in the franchise (donโ€™t hate on me).

And finally, Nintendo has teased โ€œnon-game related initiatives,โ€ making a first proper look at the upcoming live-action Zelda movie a real possibility, and would make sense, seeing as though such a big landmark in the franchise has been reached.
